TEHRAN, July 10: Two successive earthquakes measuring 5.6 and 5.8 on the Richter scale rocked southern Iran on Thursday, state television said, adding that authorities had yet to establish if there was any major damage or casualties.
The report said the first quake struck the district of Jahrom, situated in Fars province around 800 kilometers south of Tehran at 9:36pm (1706 GMT).—AFP
