LONDON, July 10: Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Sami took the best figures in the English county cricket championship this season — as Kent bowled Nottinghamshire out for 156 at Maidstone.
The 22-year-old paceman, playing his last Championship match of the year, finished with 8-64 and Kent had extended a first innings lead of 206 to 288 by lunch on day two, with Ed Smith 35 not out.
Pakistan’s all-rounder Azhar Mahmood took three early wickets as Warwickshire stuttered to 190-5 in reply to Surrey’s 355 at Edgbaston, with Dougie Brown 45 not out.
