By Our Reporter

LAHORE, July 9: Federal Culture and Tourism Minister Raees Munir Ahmed will inaugurate the Lahore-Delhi bus service at its terminal here on Friday at 5.30am.

An Indian bus will simultaneously leave Delhi and reach Lahore at around 5pm on Friday.

The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) bus has 39 seats, while the Delhi Transport Corporation bus has 36 seats.

PTDC officials told Dawn that only six tickets had been sold while 10 provisional bookings had been made for PTV, Geo and BBC representatives. Tickets for the electronic media teams will be issued subject to availability of Indian visas.

Bookings for the first bus will close at 4.30pm on Thursday. Officials said five foreigners and a Pakistani had confirmed bookings.
