Curfew in Quetta to be lifted today

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, July 9: Curfew in the provincial capital will be lifted on Thursday morning following the return of normalcy in the city.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the curfew will be lifted at 7am.

The curfew was imposed in the municipal limits of the provincial capital after outbreak of violence against the attack on an Imambargah on July 4.

The administration gave relaxation in the curfew for 13 hours on Wednesday, during which no untoward incident was reported.

All markets, shops and business establishments have started their routine work.

Army and Frontier Corps personnel checked hundreds of government and private vehicles. They also removed their tinted sheets from the vehicles.

Army and other law enforcement agencies continued patrolling. Sources said the deployment of the Frontier Corps would continue.
