Two drug smugglers get RI, fine

ISLAMABAD, July 9: Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Abbasi awarded 10-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs75,000 to a person involved in a drug smuggling case here on Tuesday.

Tarnol police had arrested the convict, Ahmed Shah, and recovered 3,200 gram contraband goods from his possession. In case of default, the convict will have to undergo additional one year rigorous imprisonment.

In another case, the same court awarded 14-year rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs1,50,000 to a person involved in a drug smuggling case.

Tarnol police had arrested the convict, Mohammad Perwas, and recovered 7,000 gram contraband goods from his possession. In case of default, the convict will have to undergo an additional one and a half year rigorous imprisonment.
