KARACHI, July 8: KCCA under-19 taught visiting Nepal side a harsh lesson by defeating them by seven wickets in a practice match at Quaid-i-Azam Park (Steel Town) on Monday.
KCCA restricted Nepal, who were put in, to 133 for seven in 40 overs.
Skipper Shakti Gauchan top-scored with 36 while Paras Khadka and Shaeeq Wesvakar made 19 and 21 respectively.
Waqar Haroon took two wickets while Adeel Malik, Khurram Manzoor and Faraz Ahmed Khan got one wicket each.
KCCA, in reply, reached their target scoring 134 for three in 32.2 overs.
Naveed Khan finished with unbeaten 59. Skipper Fazal Mohammad Khan (30) and Zeeshan Jameel (29) also batted well.
For the visitors, Dipesh Khatri restored some pride by grabbing two wickets.

Meanwhile, A one-day practice game between Nepal and Cricket Coaching Centre (CCC) scheduled for Wednesday will now be played at PCB Regional Academy Ground on Saturday, organisers announced on Tuesday.
Nepal, who are here for Asia Youth Cup, are schedule to play three practice games prior to the competition which will commence from Monday.
Meanwhile, Test batsman Faisal Iqbal has been named to lead Ahmed Mustafa’s CCC.
