Favourites advance smoothly

KARACHI, July 8: Top seeds found no difficulty in disposing off their opponents on the third day of the All Pakistan Talent Hunt tennis championship at Karachi Gymkhana on Monday.

In Under-16 boys event top seed Haris Iltifat outgunned Hassan Ahmed in straight sets.

Favourite to lift the boys Under-14 title Abbas Raza whitewashed M. Abbas 6-0, 6-0.

Naveed Ahmed bt Taha Ahmed 6-1, 2-6, 6-3; Ali Haider bt S. M Abbas Raza 6-1, 6-3

Boys U-16 first round matches

Boys U-14:
