LAHORE, July 6: Mehboob Park and Cricket Centre entered the second round of the M.Siddiq memorial  cricket tournament at different grounds on Sunday.

Mehboob Park Gymkhana defeated Faran Sports by 84 runs at the Model Town Ground.

Cricket Centre beat strong Punjab Club by eight wickets at the Model Town Greens Ground. Summarised scores: Mehboob Park beat Faran Sports.

MEHBOOB: 177 for six in 30 overs (Tahir Mehmood 50,  Taimur  50, Sajjad 30; Fawad 4-56).

FARAN: 93 all out in 20 overs (Sajjad 2-22, Ansar 2-15,  Shehzad 2-25).

Cricket Centre beat Punjab Club by eight wickets.

PUNJAB: 115 for 8 in 29 overs (Sheraz Butt 22; Raza Ali Dar 3-17, Khalid Habeeb 2-23, Zaheer Maqsood 2-18).

CRICKET: 117 for two in 20 overs (Khalid Habeeb 59 not out, Adnan Akmal 47 not out; Sajid 2-32).
