SIALKOT, July 6: Unidentified armed bandits remained active in Daska tehsil on Sunday.

Four armed robbers snatched a new taxi cab (LOZ-4241) from Waris Ali near Sambrial, Daska tehsil. Waris was coming back to Muradpur (Sialkot) after dropping a passenger in Bhoonawali village.

Sambrial police have registered a case.

Two armed highwaymen deprived trader Ghulam Mustafa of his motorcycle in Kot Daran village, Sambrial.

On Begowala-Waan-Balugan Road, two armed men snatched a motorcycle from a trader, Mazhar Iqbal.

Unknown cattle-lifters took away four buffaloes worth Rs100,000 from the outhouse of Master Yousaf in Kot Khuda Yar village, Sambrial.

On Sialkot-Motra-Daska Road near Aadha village, two motorcyclists snatched Rs300,000 at gunpoint from a Daska-based trader, Riaz Bhalli.

Police have registered separate cases.

DEATH SENTENCE: An additional district and sessions judge, Pasrur, on Saturday handed down death sentences and fined Rs200,000 each to four convicts in three different murder cases.

The judge awarded death sentence with a fine of Rs200,000 each to two convicts — Muhammad Hussain and Noor Hussain — in a murder case of Choorkey village, Pasrur Saddar.

In another murder case, the judge awarded death sentence with a fine of Rs200,000 to a convict, Shehbaz.

The judge handed down death sentence with a fine of Rs200,000 to a convict, Arshad, in a murder case.
