Death for killer of wife

SARGODHA, July 5: District and Session Judge Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad on Saturday sentenced to death a man who killed his wife in Sillanwali.

According to the prosecution, Mumtaz had killed his wife Zainab Bibi on Nov 30, 2000, on suspicion of having illicit relations with some people of Chak 49 SB of Sillanwali tehsil.

The judge also fined him Rs100,000. In case of default of payment of fine, the convict will have to undergo further imprisonment of six months.
