GUJRANWALA, July 4: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal activists on Friday took out a procession to flay unseating of MNA Mufti Ibrar Sultan by an election tribunal, alleging that the government was taking such measures at the behest of the US.

The procession started from the Sheranwala Bagh and ended at the railway station.

MMA District President Hafiz Hamid Akhtar, MNA Maulana Hamidullah, MPA Mufti Ghulam Farid Hazarvi, Jamaat-i-Islami district amir Maulana Obaidul Rahman Madni and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam amir Syed Abdul Malik Shah led the procession.

The protesters warned that the government that it would have to face tough time, if it continued to implement the US agenda.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal also took out a protest procession in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The procession, led by Maulana Zubair, Maulana Nasir Jamal and Abubaker Siddique, started from Eidgah and terminated at Traffic Chowk.

They warned the government that they would continue their protest till the restoration of the national assembly membership.

VEHARI: The MMA leaders demonstrated outside mosques after Friday prayers in various parts of the district, including Vehari, Mailsi and Burewala to condemn the court’s verdict.
