Man killed by motorcyclists

KHAIRPUR, July 4: A man was killed by four motorcyclists when he was sitting at a hotel at the new bus stand in Pir-Jo-Goth on Thursday.

After killing, Mohammad Sachal Narejo, 30, the assailants started aerial firing to create a panic among the people.

The cause of the incident was said to be a dispute between Narejo and Jagirani clans.

KILLED: An attacker was killed and two villagers were injured in an exchange of fire in a village on Wednesday night.

The killed attacker was identified as Javed Ali Narejo. The two villagers, Sikandar Ali Narejo and Manik Narejo, were seriously injured in the shoot out which took place in Jafar Khan Narejo village near Pir-Jo-Goth. The injured villagers were admitted to the civil hospital, Nawabshah.

DROWNED: The body of Akhtar Ali, 9, son of Jinsar Ali Shaikh, who drowned in the Rohri canal a couple of days ago, was recovered on Wednesday evening near Gadeji.

DEMO: Several dozen members of the Watya community staged a demonstration here on Wednesday in Hingorja, demanding arrest of murderers of Sher Khan who was killed a couple of days ago.

They marched in a procession from Watya village to Hingorja where they staged a sit-in and demanded the early action.

INJURED: Folk singer Fauzia Nandhi was injured in an attack by four armed men who had entered her Latifabad colony house on Thursday.
