HARIPUR, July 4: The district and tehsil councils of Haripur will hold a joint meeting on July 7 to discuss the construction of two proposed dams on river Dorr in the Abbottabad district.
This was announced by Haripur district Naib Nazim Muhammad Riaz Khan Jadoon here on Thursday.
Last month, the district and tehsil councils, in separate sessions, had adopted unanimous resolutions against the construction of the two dams upstream on river Dorr at Rojoya and Harno in Abbottabad. The members had also warned of protest demonstrations against the projects.
