DADU, July 4: Two motorcyclists, Hussain Bux Soomro and Allah Dino Narejo, residents of Mitho Babar village, were killed when their bike collided with a rickshaw near Khairpur Nathan Shah town on Thursday.
ROBBERY: Five highwaymen blocked the Indus Highway near Sehwan Sharif on Thursday night and looted hundreds of passengers of coaches, wagons and cars.
They held them hostage at gunpoint and snatched cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. Later, they decamped with booty.
The passengers staged a demonstration on the highway for an hour to protest against the robbery. They demanded recovery of their valuables and arrest of outlaws.
In another incident, about eight highwaymen blocked the Dadu- Bhan Saeedabad road on Thursday night and deprived passengers of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables.
Some passengers were beaten up on resistance.
The passengers staged a demonstration on the road for two hours and demanded recovery of their valuables.
