LARKANA, July 4: Responding to the call of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, its component parties took out a big procession here on Friday to protest against the disqualification of its MNA.
Led by Larkana Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl group) chief Abdul Hameed Jarwar, the procession began from the Jamia Islamia and ended at the Pakistan Chowk.
Speaking at the rally, the MMA leaders, Hafiz Ahmed Ali Abbasi, Ashiq Dhamraho, Maulana Basheer Ahmed Bhatti and others lashed out at the Election Tribunal for unseating the MNA from Kohat.
They said that it would widen the gulf between the government and the opposition and in long run, the government would suffer.
They also criticized President Gen Pervez Musharraf for his tilt towards the USA and said that the MMA would not give up struggle against the Legal Framework Order.
The Islami Jamiat Tulba took out another procession which ended outside Jinnah Bagh where speeches were made.
Speakers criticized the government’s intention torecognize Israel and alleged that in the Camp David talks, President Musharraf was given the task.
They said that the dream of the US and President Musharraf would not come true.
Later, the students put an Israeli flag on fire.
