The conference, organized by Jamat-i-Islami on Friday, also criticized the alleged compromise on national issues by President Musharraf.

The conference was attended by leaders of all major opposition political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz group), Sindh Democratic Alliance, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI), Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) and others.

The speakers made it clear that the nation would never accept any deviation on national issues and such policies would never be allowed to continue.— PPI
