HERAT, July 2: India on Wednesday officially opened a consulate in the main western Afghan city of Herat.
It is the third consulate New Delhi has opened in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban in late 2001. Besides its embassy in Kabul, India has consulates in Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar and Jalalabad.—AFP
