KARACHI, July 2: A senior producer of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), Haroon Rind, passed away on Wednesday after protracted illness. He was 57.

He has left behind a widow, two sons and two daughters.

According to the PTV sources, late Rind started his career from PTV Karachi Centre as a producer. He produced a variety of Sindhi and Urdu programmes. He was also given award in Germany for the production of a Sindhi drama, “Dangi Manjh Darya”. He also produced a number of other dramas, including the two famous “Deevarain”, Choti Si Dunya and “Jungle”.

He would be laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Kotri, Hyderabad on Thursday at 9.00am. — APP
