Ghulam Nabi slams hat trick

KARACHI, June 29: Eight-man Bhutta Mohammadan slumped to a 10-0 defeat against Pakistan Petroleum thanks to a Ghulam Nabi hat trick in the KASB Premier League at Gabol Park on Sunday.

Bhutta Mohammadan, who came with only eight players, went 3-0 down before interval. Rashid Ghafoor started the damage with a 10th-minute goal followed by Ghulam Nabi strike in the 23rd minute. Ghulam Nabi made it 3-0 five minutes before going for lemons.

Pakistan Petroleum, cashing in on the absence of three Bhutta Mohammadan players, went on a goal-spree after resumtpion, Ghulam Nabi Jr scoring in the 40th minute.

Yaseen Baloch was on target a minute later, while Ghulam Nabi completed his hat trick seven minutes later.

Mohammad Amin slammed home a 52nd-minute goal, Shakir Ali found the cage in the 55th minute, Ghulam Nabi Jr got his second in the 58th minute and Anar Zaib hammered the last nail into Bhutta Mohammadan’s coffin a minute later.

Bhutta Mohammadan’s Shah Nawaz was declared the player of the match.

Table-toppers Hyderi Baloch maintained their unbeaten run with a 4-1 triumph over Mekran Sports at CDGK ground.

Hyderi Baloch got off to a perfect start when Aftab Ahmad banged home with the game barely two minutes old. Mekran Sports fought back and levelled through Iqbal Ahmad four minutes later.

Shah Nawaz Soomar, the player of the match, put Hyderi Baloch ahead in the 20th minute. Mohammad Rustam stretched the lead in the 41st minute while a 47th-minute strike by Doulat Ali sealed the fate of the game.
