TMA budget today

RAWALPINDI, June 29: The Tehsil Municipal Administration will present its annual budget 2003-04 amounting to Rs607.9 million on Monday.

Tehsil Nazim Raja Hamid Nawaz will present the budget in the Rawalpindi Tehsil Council session to be held at Liaqat Memorial Hall at 10am. “No new taxes have been levied in the budget and major chunk of it is earmarked for development,” said the Tehsil Nazim. The previous budget was of Rs510 million which also showed deficit in the end owing to the year-long dispute over the auctioning of contracts.—Staff Reporter
