Chinese team due today

ISLAMABAD, June 29: A delegation comprising senior management officials of Chinese oil and gas exploration company, Sichuan Petroleum Administration (SPA) will arrive here on Monday for a week-long tour to participate in the inauguration of a project at Qadirpur.

According to sources, the delegation of the SPA, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, led by the company’s international cooperation director Li Aimin will attend the inauguration ceremony of their rig at Qadirpur near Sukkur for the Oil and Gas Development Company.

The rig has the capability to drill up to a depth of 5,000m.

The delegation will call on Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Chaudhry Noraiz Shakoor Khan and senior officials.—APP
