Two killed in rocket attack

By Our Correspondent

KOHAT, June 28: Two people were injured in a rocket attack by unknown terrorists on a telephone exchange in the wee hours of Friday in the remote tribal North Waziristan Agency, 290km south-west of Peshawar, reports reaching here said.

The operator of the telephone exchange, Inamullah, and another unknown tribesman injured in the attack were shifted to the Miranshah hospital, an official told Dawn .

“The telephone exchange has been made operational and the political authorities have asked the local tribal chiefs to hand over the terrorists involved in the incident and also pay fine. If the terrorists do not surrender, the government will do everything to punish the tribe involved in the attack,” the official said.
