Notices rejected

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, June 28: Defence Minister Rao Sikander Iqbal on Saturday rejected People’s Party Parliamentarians warning to the members of the breakaway PPP-Patriots, saying they have no legal right to issue such notices.

“Only Benazir Bhutto can issue similar notices to us because she still is our leader,” he told newsmen here.

The PPP on Friday night had issued notices to the group under Article 63-A of the Constitution with a warning to vote against NA Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain in the no-confidence motion or face disqualification proceedings.
