VEHARI, June 27: An eight-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Union Council No I here on Friday.
Mohammad Imran was playing near the pond when he fell in it. He died on the spot.
Four other children have drowned in the stinking pond this year, but the administration has failed to drain it and fill the place with earth to make it level with the adjoining area.
