ISLAMABAD, June 27: The first consignment of Pakistan’s $3.3 million relief package for the people of Iraq arrived in Baghdad on Thursday, a Foreign Office statement said here.
Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali had announced a package for the people of Iraq.
The goods were transported in a Pakistan Air Force B-707 aircraft. The supplies included medicines and surgical equipment.
The consignment was handed over by Pakistan embassy’s charge d’affaires in Baghdad, Mohammad Yaqoob, to Dr Mowafiq Al Takriti, adviser, Kamadia, state company for medical supplies, health ministry of Iraq. —APP
