One killed, two injured

ISLAMABAD, June 27: One person was killed after being hit by a passenger bus near Faizabad, while a man and his daughter were injured in a road accident at Haidri Chowk on Saidpur Road, police said on Friday.

According to the police, an 18-year-old person, who is yet to be identified, was killed after being hit by a speeding passenger bus (JA-6876) near Faizabad.

The bus driver — Miraj Khan — escaped, however the police impounded the vehicle. In the second incident, a man and his daughter were injured when a vehicle hit them at Haidri Chowk on Saidpur Road, the police said. The injured — Shahzaib and Mumtaz — were shifted to a hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, burglars and robbers deprived five persons of cash and vehicles.

Burglars entered the house of Irfan Latif in the jurisdiction of Saddar Beruni police station and made off with cash, gold ornaments, mobile and other valuables.

Similarly, some robbers snatched a car (IDL-8084) and cash worth Rs72,000 from Chan Zaib at gunpoint in the jurisdiction of New Town police station.

Likewise, a car (RIY-9405) was stolen from Sadiqabad while an unregistered motorbike was lifted from Westridge.

Shaikh Zeeshan lodged an FIR with Maragalla police, saying that he parked his motorcycle (IDM-3006) in front of his house in G-9 Markaz from where some thieves took it away.
