Policeman booked

RAWALPINDI, June 26: The Waris Khan police have booked an ex-official of its Malkhana on charge of embezzlement.

Head constable Safdar Hussain, who was posted as a moharrar at the Waris Khan police station Malkhana from Sept 1999 to Feb 2002, was booked after most of the 957,765 rupees seized during different crackdowns on gambling dens was found missing during a checking of the store record.
