Three workers buried alive

MULTAN, June 26: Three people were killed when a well they were plastering caved in near Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday.

Malik Manzoor Arain, a resident of Basti Malik Jam Muhammad, had decided to dig his tubewell 25 feet deep to ensure supply of receding sub-soil water.

After doing the task, he and his wife were plastering the walls of the well with the help of a mason when the well caved in. They were buried alive.

KILLED: Two persons were killed by their rivals in the outskirts of the district on Thursday.

Reports said Barkat, 46, and his relative Iftikhar, 20, were asleep at Kot Gujraan village in Budhla Sanat police station precinct when three attackers Allah Ditta, Muhammad Haneef and Khalil Ahmad shot them dead.
