Two girls assaulted

KASUR, June 26: Two girls were raped and a housewife was kidnapped on Thursday in the district.

Police said ‘B’ (23) was going to her house in Noorpur village when Qaim Din forcibly took her to his house and allegedly raped her.

Javed along with his two accomplices barged into the house of Jehangir at Bhopeywal village, Pattoki, and held the inmates at gunpoint. Later, they locked them in a room and gang-rapped Jahangir’s daughter. The intruders also took away six tolas of gold and Rs2,530 in cash.

Pattoki Saddar police have registered a case.

Rasheed along with his three accomplices entered Sharif’s house in Bhaid Sodian village and took away his wife at pistol point.

DEATH AWARDED: Additional district and sessions judge, Chunian, Asghar Fahim, handed down death sentence to a convict with a fine of Rs50,000 in a murder case.

According to the prosecution, convict Sher Muhammad had shot dead Sadiq over a petty issue some six months ago in the limits of Illahabad police station.

LOOTED: Seven armed bandits looted five tolas of gold, Rs50,000 in cash and other valuables from a house in Noorpur village.

Police said bandits broke into the house of Farzand Masih, held the inmates hostage at gunpoint, collected gold, cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees and escaped.
