SADIQABAD, June 25: Wapda’s Zahir Pir sub-division has issued notices to various government departments for non-payment of its dues.

The notices have been served on the district police officers of the Zahir Pir police station (defaulting Rs101,979) and Abadpur police station (defaulting Rs11,209).

For the clearance of dues to the tune of Rs150,000 as regards to the disposal works of Chachran Sharif union council, Wapda has served notice on the UC Nazim.

The district health officer has been issued notice for default of Rs173,139.

Meanwhile, sub-division SHO Jam Muhammad Ayub has asked the defaulters to clear the dues by June 30, otherwise their electricity supplies would be disconnected.

A number of other people also have been issued notices with the direction to clear the dues without delay.

TOLL’S ABOLITION: Rahim Yar Khan District Nazim Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mahmood had decided to abolish toll from July 1, announced PML-Q Punjab Joint Secretary Rana Tariq Mahmood Khan here on Wednesday.
