Delhi seeks end to ‘cross-border terrorism’


BEIJING, June 23: India on Monday called upon Pakistan to end “cross-border terrorism”.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao raised the Pakistan and Kashmir issues in talks with visiting Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, a foreign ministry spokesman travelling with the Indian leader said.

“Our prime minister said ‘Yes, we have taken this initiative. It was important it succeed and Pakistan has to end cross-border terrorism’”, the spokesman said.
