KARACHI, June 23: Six vessels carrying containers, highspeed diesel and chemicals are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to steady arrivals for foreign flag ships. Six ships, Ocean Starlight, Cape Negro to unload and load containers, Lecong to offload and load general goods, Pandora-P to unload fertilizer, Gudermes to load naptha and Commo-Jc-, Jimenez, to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.
The ships, which departed included Mar Challenger, Sima Bahar, Ocean Starlight, Coral Highway, Beteriguize and Bazantio, while Kota Wijaya, Cape Negro, Gudermes, Commo-Jc-Jimenez and Mercs Kandy are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling on the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 80,344 tons comprising 35,974 tons of export cargo, including 2,432 tons of wheat, 1,547 tons of sugar and 44,370 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Keefan, with highspeed diesel, Nur al-Jubail, Bow Giovanni, with chemicals, Manhattan Bridge, Oriental Bright and Tai He, with containers.
