Two run over by bus
SKARDU, June 22: Two members of a family were killed and another sustained serious injuries when a motorcycle was crushed by a speeding bus on Skardu-Khaplu Road on Saturday evening, police said on Sunday.
Three brothers, Zakawat Ali, 30; Zulfiqar Ali, 14; and Junaid, of Balghar, Ghanche district, Baltistan, were on way to Balghar from Khaplu on a motorcycle, when a Natco bus (BLN-1561) hit their bike from the opposite direction near Bara village, some 7km off Khaplu. As a result, Zakawat Ali and Zulfiqar Ali died on the spot, and the 7-year-old Junaid received serious injuries. The police have arrested the driver.—Correspondent
