Zone-V Whites in U-15 final

KARACHI, June 21: Zone-V Whites qualified for the final of the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 cricket tournament with a 37-run victory over Zone-III Whites at TMC Ground on Friday.

In Sunday’s final at the same venue, Zone-V Whites will meet Zone-I Whites.

Zone-V Whites, batting first, were all out for 190 in 47.5 overs despite a third-wicket stand of 108 between opener Zeeshan Rahim and Mohammad Athar.

Zeeshan stroked five boundaries in his 62 while Athar also slammed five fours in making 54.

Once they were separated, the last seven wickets crumbled for 31 runs against the hostile bowling of medium-pacer Saad Azam, who captured seven for 41 in 23.5 overs.

Zone-III Whites, in reply, were bowled for 153 despite Abrar-ul-Haq’s 80.
