Pakistan may send another judge to ICTR

ISLAMABAD, June 21: Justice Khalida Rachied, a Peshawar High Court judge, is all set to take Pakistan’s seat on International Tribunal for Rawanda.

After the return of Justice Mansoor Ahmad from the tribunal, Pakistan got second chance as Secretary-General UN Kofi Annan decided to allow Pakistan to nominate another judge for the post which it had won in General Assembly election.

Sources said that Justice Rachied, is being sent to ICTR, as she has worked as a trial judge as well judge of appellate court.

The judge would be entitled to get monthly salary of $10,000 per month, ($120,000) for four years, and $4,000 per month as pension for rest of his life.
