Another political party on the cards
LAHORE, June 21: A meeting of the Awami Jamhoori Forum held here on Saturday organized a coordination committee to consult various parties and groups for forming another political party.
The meeting presided over by Prof Salahuddin was attended by Waheed Subhani, Azizuddin Ahmad, Rana Abdur Rahman, Jameel Omar, Sharif Butt, Mahboob Khan and others.
Meanwhile, the Book Home organized a reference to pay homage to the services of Zakki Abbas and Azad Kausari for literature and journalism.
Academy of Letters director Qazi Javed chaired the event which was attended by historian Dr Mubarak Ali, Prof Abbas Najmi, Ahmad Saleem, Dr Tahir Kamran and other writers and thinkers.
