Case against 7 policemen ordered

SARGODHA, June 21: A special judge of the Anti-Corruption Establishment ordered registration of a case against seven policemen of Sillanwali, including its SHO, for allegedly taking bribe from a person for his release.

Shahid Akhtar said that he had moved court alleging that police often raided his house, misbehaved with women and tried to implicate them in a drug case.

To take revenge, he alleged that SHO Ghulam Fareed, SI Sahib Khan, ASIs Akram, Arif and others again raided his house, insulted women, and took him to the police station.

Later, they released him after taking Rs6,000 in bribe, he further blamed.

At this, the ACE judge directed the anti-corruption police to register a case against the policemen.
