Relations with Russia to grow, says PML-Q

By A Reporter

RAWALPINDI, June 19: The recent visit of the Russian foreign minister to Pakistan has further cemented bilateral relations and enhanced cooperation in telecommunication, information technology, agriculture and defence sectors between the two countries.

This was stated by PML-Q vice-president Syed Kabir Ali Wasti here on Thursday while talking to party workers after his meeting with Russian Ambassador Eduard Shevchenko.

He said ministers for telecommunications, information technology, food and agriculture would soon visit Moscow to hold talks for promotion of trade relations between the two countries.

Russia is likely to help Pakistan in getting sophisticated technology in IT and telecommunications sectors as well as bulldozers, tractors and agriculture machinery, which would further boost our agro-based economy, he added.

He said in defence sector talks would be held for the purchase of most modern radar system from Russia.
