KARACHI, June 18: A fine spell of spin bowling by A. Qadir, enabled Mohammad Hussain CC continue on their winning spree, inflicting a six-wicket defeat over Sadiq Sports in the Top Ten Invitation cricket tournament, at the Sadiq Sports ground on Tuesday.

Deciding to bat first after winning the toss, Sadiq Sports were bowled out for 133 runs in 33.4 overs.

Waqar Zubair top scored with 30 runs and Waqees Yameen chipped in with 28. Abdul Qadir caused the Sadiq Sports downfall by claiming five wickets for only seven runs.

Aqeel Sharif weighed in with two for 14 and paceman Aleem Khan Moosa two for 26.

With Wajihuddin hammering 43 runs and Wusat Hussain contributing 41, Mohammad Hussain CC reached the winning target of 134, losing only four wickets after 28.3 overs.

Afzal Ayub claimed all the four wickets that fell for only 12 runs.

Summerised scores: Sadiq Sports 133 all out in 33.4 overs. Waqar Zubair (30), Waqas Yameen (28). Adbul Qadir five for seven runs, Aqeel Sharif two for 14, Aleem Khan two for 26. Mohammad Hussain CC 134 for four in 28.3 overs. Wajihuddin (43), Wusat Hussain (41), Afzal Ayub four for 12.

Zone III U-17 trials

Trials will be held to select the two Under-17 teams of the KCCA Zone III which will be held on June 20 and 21st respectively at the PAD ground near Bilawal House and China Town Restaurant.

Players are directed to contact Abdul Hameed Khatri, Zone III Secretary with their birth certificates and NIC ‘B’ form.

Players born on or after 1-9-1986 are eligible to attend the trials.
