TDCP men face suspension

Published June 19, 2003

LAHORE, June 18: Punjab Tourism Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam has ordered the suspension of two officials of the Tourist Information Centre at the Lahore airport.

During his surprise visit to the TIC, the minister found that no TIC employee was on duty by 9.30am, the press release said.

He ordered the suspension of TIC deputy manager Shahrukh Qaisar and tourism officer Nasrullah Adeel besides the termination of a daily-wage assistant tourism officer.

The minister also directed to serve a warning notice on the general manager (operation) for his poor administration. Since the TDCP was an industrial organization the negligence of this sort could not be afforded, he added. — Reporter
