Overbooking causes delay in PIA flights

RAWALPINDI, June 16: Pakistan International Airlines planes bound for London off-loaded huge quantity of fuel from the jets due to high temperature and over-booking, which has also been causing delay in departure of these flights.

On Sunday, 11 tons of fuel was off-loaded from PK 785. The flight was delayed by almost two hours. Sources said the flight, just before take off, was found short of food supply because of overbooking and, hence, arrangements had to be made for additional food.

Meanwhile, Oslo bound PK-703 was delayed on Sunday for about four hours.—Staff Reporter
