KARACHI: Work at Banaras Chowk continues

KARACHI, June 13: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Friday directed the officials to complete development work at Banaras Chowk before July 15.

The City Nazim accompanied with DCO Karachi Mir Hussain Ali visited the site and reviewed the progress of the project. Saleem Azhar and MPA Hameedullah Khan were also present.

It was decided that the DCO would contact the concerned departments to remove the encroachments coming in the way of the project during the next week. It was further decided that the DCO would contact the Managing Director of KESC for the removal of electric poles hindering the work.

To pave the way for development work at Banaras Chowk, the police station near the roundabout would be shifted, while the portion of Social Security Dispensary would also be demolished.

Later, the City Nazim inspected the pace of development works at Five Star Chowrangi and Nagan Chowrangi.
