By Qudssia Akhlaque

ISLAMABAD, June 11: The Indian authorities on Wednesday gave its approval of the dates proposed by Pakistan for talks on a resumption of the Lahore-Delhi bus service, Dawn learnt through official sources.

Pakistan had on Tuesday proposed to send its technical team next week to work out modalities for restoring the bus service.

The Indian ministry of external affairs conveyed to officials here that it would be ready to receive Pakistan’s team next week.

“The Pakistan team would arrive in New Delhi on June 18 for talks on the 19th and 20th,” sources in the foreign office confirmed.

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation’s deputy managing director Azfar Shafqat will head the delegation.

Officials here say the service can be restored by July 1, the date indicated by the Indian side.
