ISLAMABAD, June 11: The Pakistan Mobile Communication (Mobilink) has submitted a proposal to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) about the company’s compensation plan for its customers of Rs60 million.

The PTA had last week imposed a fine of Rs60 million on the cellular company for poor quality of service with a direction to pay the penalty by compensating its customers within 30 days.

The compensation plan was submitted to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority by Mobilink Chief Executive Officer Zouhair A. Khaliq.

The PTA has announced that the CEO confirmed to the authority that the compensation plan would be implemented within 30 days.

He assured the authority that the company would make all out efforts to provide the highest quality of service to the subscribers.

After holding a public hearing, the PTA had directed the licensee to provide the authority a comprehensive report on the implementation of the compensation plan within seven days.

The PTA had also asked the company to comply with the terms and conditions of its license and conduct a nationwide technical survey with the authority to determine all aspects of the quality of service in three months.
