Masud Khan new FO spokesman

ISLAMABAD, June 9: Masud Khan, director-general of the East Asia and Pacific division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has suceeded Aziz Khan, designated as high commissioner to India, as foreign office spokesman and made his debut at the weekly FO briefing on Monday.

Mr Aziz Khan introduced Mr Masud Khan to journalists as “a capable and able representative of foreign affairs”.

A career diplomat, Mr. Masud Khan has served in Pakistan’s missions in Washington, New York, Hague and Beijing, Aziz Khan told journalists.

The new spokesman said he looked forward to “working closely” with the press, saying that he would be a spokesman as well as a briefer.
