Shahid faces Mansoor in final

ISLAMABAD, June 9: Top seed Mansoor Zaman displayed ruthless form in defeating Ijaz Azmat in the President PSF Squash Tournament on Monday as he set up a meeting in Tuesday’s final with Shahid Zaman.

While Mansoor needed less than half an hour to show Ijaz the door winning 15-2, 15-2, 15-8, Shahid had to work a little harder in overcoming Muhammad Ilyas in the second semifinal.

It was sweet revenge for Shahid who had lost to Ilyas in the quarterfinals of this tournament last year. The two players were on court for almost 50 minutes before Shahid settled the matter with a 15-9, 15-4, 15-8 victory.

Results (semifinals): Mansoor Zaman (CAA) bt Ijaz Azmat (Wapda) 15-2, 15-2, 15-8; Shahid Zaman bt Muhammad Ilyas 15-9, 15-4, 15-8.
