ISLAMABAD, June 9: Centuries by Sohail Aftab and Ulfat Hussain helped Punjab thrash Classic by 380 runs in the ICA-PTV Cricket League Championship on Monday.

Sohail struck 130 by cracking 14 boundaries and two sixes while Ulfat hit 109, an innings punctuated with 13 fours and three sixes as Punjab collected 463 for eight of their 50 overs.

Also among the runs was Asadullah who was unlucky to miss his century and fell for 97. Zohaib Ahmed and Rana Ijaz picked up two wickets each but their efforts were clearly not enough to check the rampaging Punjab batsmen.

The big run chase was always going to be difficult for Classic and they folded in just over 18 overs for a total of 83, Adnan Suleman putting the brakes on them with five for 63.
