KARACHI: PPP vows to resist Thal canal project

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, June 9: Pakistan People’s Party, Sindh, on Monday vowed to foil attempts of the military bureaucracy to ruin the province’s economy by constructing Greater Thal Canal.

This was decided at a meeting of Sindh PPP’s Executive Committee which also resolved to launch a movement against all such conspiracies hatched against the province.

The meeting, presided over by Nisar Khuhro, provincial chief of the party, who accused the federal government of ruining Sindh’s economy.

He said that in Sindh, two parallel governments were operating which was detrimental to the interest of the province. During the meeting views against LFO and Thal canal project were expressed.
