Premier League match ends in a draw

KARACHI, June 6: Nawab XI managed to hold Baloch Mohammadan 0-0 in the second round of the KASB Premier League at CDGK ground on Friday.

Baloch Mohammadan strikers Abdul Samad, Jahangir Taj and Saeed Tariq made inroads but due to poor finishing let their team down.

Besides Nawab XI goalkeeper Mohammad Riaz brought off several outstanding saves under the bar.

Nawab XI strikers Ishtiaq Ahmad, Abdul Jabbar, and Mohammad Kaleem penetrated Baloch Mohammadan defences but failed to score.

The second half saw Mohammad Akram of Baloch Mohammadan being yellow carded in the 45th minute, while Nawab XI’s Faqeer Mohammad was cautioned three minutes later.

Jahangir Taj was declared the Player of the Match.

Saturday’s fixture: Usmanabad Union v LLWC at Usmanabad Stadium.
