LARKANA, June 5: The chief organizer of the Millat Party, Balochistan, Taj Mohammed Jamali, has advised the opposition to rise above the issue of the Legal Framework Order for the solution of the problems of the people and development of the country.
Mr Taj also warned the federal government against dissolving of the NWFP Assembly maintaining that the move would be perilous to the interests of the country and would be yet another wrong precedent in the political history of Pakistan.
He suggested that the army must go back to the barracks as its purpose was only to defend the frontiers of the country, while politicians must be given a free hand in ruling the country.
He said that Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali was not free to make decisions on his own.
He said that only the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was left to talk of the rights of the people of all the provinces of the country, while nationalism had dominated the other political parties.
Mr Taj said that the Muslim League had restricted itself to Punjab, and Wali Khan’s Awami National Party talks of Pashtuns and other leaders had also constrained themselves to their provinces.
He said that he saw development works going on in all the provinces of the country with the sole exception of Sindh, which suggested that the political leadership of Sindh was not sincere to its people.
He said that the political parties would have felt a new spirit of life and flourished had the PPP been able to form a government after striking a deal with the establishment before the formation of the present government.
He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party had made a mistake of not accepting the terms of the establishment.
